Eddie's Tailor Shop is now closed. Thanks to everyone for your support.

I just wanted to inform everyone that from here on Eddie’s Tailor Shop will not be receiving any more orders for alterations. We are closing the business Dec. 15th 2013.

I would like to thank everyone for making our business successful for many years. We’ve had many loyal customers and employees over the 23 years we have been open. I would like to thank everyone for their patronage and effort for making us your go to place for tailoring.

I would especially like to thank Edelmira Mezquita for her professionalism, hard work and great attitude as well as her talents as an excellent tailor. Julio Mejia for his loyalty to my mom as an employee and friend and his extreme talents as tailor.

I also want to thank my mother Lilia Samano, who guided me in the business and eventually handed it over to me in 2005. My mother believed in me before I could believe in myself and I will always be grateful for the opportunity she gave me. I love you Mom!

Even though there is a new dawn for Downtown L.A. I feel it is time for me to move on. I want to stay in the fashion industry but I honestly don’t know what the future will bring. But that is part of life. The unknown is scary but it also makes life worth living. I now feel confident to move on and pursue what I really want to do in my life. I want to wish everyone the very best that life can bring you and I wish you all a very heartfelt goodbye.

Take care & God Bless.

Sincerely,

Eddie Nieves
